Mookus Beandropper emerges from a spell to find that his witchy wifemate has given birth to a cyclopean baby and absconded with said infant. To make matters worse, the father appears to be Mookus’s best quest mate and only cyclops in town, Gudder Fellswoop. Due to an ancient prophesy, the custody issue becomes a matter of realmwide relevance, and the one-eyed teat-tugger is soon sought by both good and evil entities.
From the bandit-burdened troll trails of the lowlands to the peakiest pinnacle of the Fuggan Mountains, Mookus and the questers of Questers Union Hall 24 will endure unpleasant predicaments, questionable comestibles, and delicate relationship issues. To make matters even worse, their quest becomes an immediate fight for the kingdom of Generica when the group teams up with Princess Diorbell to thwart Gardrayl Thumbtoe and the Confederation Of Various Fellowships Embodied For Evil, who have taken over Slimestone Castle. Should Gardrayl remain on the throne, the Days of Almost Constant Irksomeness will once more darken the land. Yet more than one nefarious plot is in the works, and not all forms of thwarting the scandalous scoundrels will lead to a happy ending for Mookus and his quest mates. From fishing Mookus’s brother out of a slippery situation to meeting the all-powerful GOATCOAT, Mookus and mates must overcome overwhelming odds to save their child, their kingdom, and themselves.
